MI Emergency Preparedness (MIEP) Banner

Thanks for taking the time to check out the link on our MIEP banner.

Most of you will have seen the MIEP banner in one of the following places. Click that link below to read some information I would like to share with you about emergency preparedness relative to the context of that location.

8/20/2017 - 5th Annual All-County Picnic

You will be seeing our MIEP banner at the NPREP MAP tent/booth at the Annual All County (ACP) Picnic at HJ Carroll Park marked by the above banner.

Pete Hubbard will have several computers there to

  1. demonstrate THE MAP and Nextdoor
  2. help people submit their contact information for being an NPREP Organizer, a Nextdoor Lead, or a HAM or FRS operator so it appears as a balloon on THE MAP.

The ACP is produced by members of the Local 2020 Emergency Preparedness Action Group and the Department of Emergency Management.

The following handouts were available.

  1. All-County Picnic Visitor Information Sheet
  2. HAM/FRS Flyer - Please build an effective HAM/FRS radio network in your neighborhood

7/15 and 7/22/2017 - 8th Annual Marrowstone Island Emergency Preparedness Satellite Yard Sale

You saw our MIEP banner at our Annual MI-wide MIEP Satellite Yard Sale where we raise money to purchase items to help our community prepare for and respond to an emergency or disaster. We've listed some of the items in this "Budget" webpage and in this (out of date) "Annual MIEP Status Report" webpage.

We want to thank you for purchasing yard sale items and perhaps making a donation in one of our donation jars.
