The Nordland General Store will be a natural meeting place for many Islanders in case of an emergency or disaster.

The Marro

wstone Island Emergency Preparedness (MIEP) Committee and Marrowstone Island Amateur Radio Club have donated an FRS radio to the store to use to transmit and receive information from the local MI FRS/Ham radio network that communicates with the Department of Emergency Management.
